Choosing the correct hose diameter to meet your length requirements is critical to maximize spraying pressure. The larger the hose diameter, the greater the pressure at the gun. As hose diameter is reduced or the hose length increases, there will be less pressure at the gun — possibly affecting spray patterns.
For maximum pressure when coupling hoses together; connect the larger diameter hose to the sprayer and smaller diameter hose to the gun inlet. Use a whip hose to allow flexibility when spraying.

Add a Whip Hose to provide more flexibility and increased operator control at the gun. These hoses are especially beneficial on large jobs when spraying for long periods of time to help reduce fatigue and provide a quality finish over the course of the entire job.
